For the sale of goods. These terms apply to every order placed with Splashbacks.com.
Last updated 9 October 2026
In this document the following words shall have the following meanings:
“Buyer” means the organisation or person who buys Goods from the Seller.
“Conditions” means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller.
“Delivery date” means the date specified by the Seller when the Goods are to be delivered.
“Goods” means the articles to be supplied to the Buyer by the Seller.
“Consumer” has the meaning given in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — an individual buying wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
“Price” means the price for the Goods quoted by the Seller, plus such carriage, packing, insurance or other charges as may be quoted by the Seller or as may apply under these Conditions.
“Seller” means Splashbacks.com, C27 Rosehill Industrial Estate, Market Drayton, TF9 2JU.
These Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Buyer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions, including any terms the Buyer may seek to apply under any purchase order, order confirmation or similar document.
All orders for Goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Goods pursuant to these Conditions.
Any variation to these Conditions shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the Seller.
Any advice, recommendation or representation given by the Seller or its employees as to the storage, application or use of the Goods which is not confirmed in writing is followed or acted upon entirely at the Buyer’s own risk.
Nothing in these Conditions affects the statutory rights of a Buyer dealing as a Consumer. Where any provision of these Conditions conflicts with those rights, the Buyer’s statutory rights prevail.
Payment of the Price is taken in full through this website at the time the order is placed. Card payments are processed by Stripe; the Seller does not receive or store card details.
Prices shown to consumers include VAT at the prevailing rate. The breakdown shown at checkout sets out the goods, delivery and VAT separately.
Where the Seller has agreed credit terms in writing, the Seller shall be entitled to charge interest on overdue invoices from the date payment becomes due, accruing daily until payment, at 2% per annum above the base rate of the Bank of England from time to time.
The Seller reserves the right to grant, refuse, restrict, cancel or alter credit terms at its sole discretion at any time.
The Buyer is responsible for the accuracy of the sizes and specification given when placing the order. Goods are cut to the measurements supplied.
Sizes of products are subject to a tolerance of 2 mm. Where a splashback is to fit between walls, tiles or a fixed opening, the Buyer should allow a few millimetres either side.
Any description, illustration or photograph on this website is for guidance and does not form part of the contract. Colour and finish may vary slightly between batches of glass.
Delivery is normally within 14 working days at the delivery rate stated at the time of purchase. Collection is available by arrangement; please contact the office. Orders can be tracked by contacting the office.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery shall take place at the address specified by the Buyer. The Buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery whenever the Goods are tendered.
Any delivery date given by the Seller is an estimate. While every reasonable effort is made to meet it, where the Buyer is not a Consumer time shall not be of the essence.
If the Seller is unable to deliver for reasons beyond its control, the Seller may place the Goods in storage until delivery can be effected, and the Buyer shall be liable for reasonable expenses associated with that storage.
If the Buyer fails to accept delivery on the delivery date, or within 3 days of notification that the Goods are ready for dispatch, the Seller reserves the right to invoice the Goods and to charge reasonable storage until they are dispatched or otherwise disposed of.
Because every splashback is cut to order, the Seller does not deliver by instalments unless agreed in writing.
This is the most important clause on this page, and the Buyer should read it before ordering.
Every splashback sold through this website is cut to the measurements the Buyer supplies. Under regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day right to cancel a distance contract does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specification or clearly personalised.
This means that once cutting has begun, an order cannot be cancelled or returned simply because the Buyer has changed their mind, or because the splashback does not fit a space that was measured incorrectly.
If the Buyer contacts the Seller before cutting has begun, the Seller will do what it reasonably can to amend or cancel the order. This is a courtesy and not a right.
This does not affect the Buyer’s rights if the Goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described. Those rights are set out below and are not excluded by this clause.
Standard, non-made-to-measure items bought through this website, such as unopened tubes of splashback glue or fixing kits, may be returned unused and in their original packaging within 14 days.
The Buyer should check the Goods on delivery. Glass is fragile, and damage in transit is far easier to resolve when it is reported immediately.
Where the Buyer is not a Consumer, the Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods 14 days after delivery, and no claim for defect, damage or quality will be entertained unless written notice together with supporting evidence is received within that period.
Where the Buyer is a Consumer, their statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full and are not limited by the paragraph above. In short: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. A Consumer has 30 days to reject faulty goods for a full refund, and rights to repair or replacement after that.
Photographs of any damage, taken before the Goods are moved or installed, help the Seller resolve a claim quickly and may be requested.
Splashbacks that have been fitted, drilled, cut or otherwise altered after delivery cannot be accepted back except where the fault was present on delivery.
Risk of damage to or loss of the Goods passes to the Buyer on delivery, or where the Goods are collected, at the time the Seller notifies the Buyer that they are available for collection.
Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk, title in the Goods shall not pass to the Buyer until the Seller has received payment in full in cleared funds.
Where the Goods are found to be defective, the Seller shall replace the defective Goods free of charge within the manufacturer’s warranty period from the date of delivery, provided the defect arises from faulty design, materials or workmanship.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by fitting, by unsuitable fixings, by moisture or heat reaching the printed back through unsealed edges, or by normal wear.
Where the Buyer is not a Consumer, Goods to be repaired or replaced shall be returned to the Seller at the Buyer’s expense if the Seller so requests. Where the Buyer is a Consumer, the Seller bears the cost of return of faulty Goods.
Nothing in these Conditions excludes or limits the Seller’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
Except where the Buyer deals as a Consumer, all warranties, conditions or terms relating to fitness for purpose, quality or condition of the Goods, whether express or implied by statute or common law, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Except where the Buyer deals as a Consumer, the Seller’s total liability arising out of any order shall not exceed the Price of the Goods, and the Seller shall not be liable for loss of profit, loss of contract or any indirect or consequential loss.
The Seller is not liable for the suitability of a splashback for a particular space, or for measurements supplied by the Buyer.
All intellectual property rights in the Goods, in this website and in its content remain the property of the Seller. Nothing in these Conditions grants the Buyer any licence in respect of them.
The Seller shall not be liable for any delay in or failure to perform its obligations where the delay or failure results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including supply failures, severe weather, and interruption of transport.
Nothing in these Conditions creates a partnership, joint venture or agency between the parties.
The Seller may assign or sub-contract the performance of any of its obligations under these Conditions.
Failure or delay by either party in enforcing any provision shall not be a waiver of that provision.
If any provision is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
These Conditions, together with the order confirmation, form the entire agreement between the parties.
If something has gone wrong, please contact the Seller first — most problems are resolved quickly by telephone.
These Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. A Consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
